Stanley Matthews is without doubt one of the greats of British football. He played top-flight football until he was 50 years old and in that incredibly long career he played for only 2 clubs, Stoke and Blackpool. He was outstanding for both but the highlight of his club career was the 1953 FA Cup Final which became known as The Matthews Final because of his brilliant individual performance. Kandinsky's drawings highlight the explosive trickery of his wing play.
