Having been losing finalists last year, Exeter Chiefs were determined to come out on top this time around. And they got off to a flying start leading with 2 first half tries. But a dogged Wasps pulled it back and then moved ahead early in the second half. Then they repulsed wave after wave of Exeter attacks including one amazing 34 phase sequence. But they were not to be denied and with 28 seconds left on the clock they equalised with a Steenson 30 yard penalty kick. And with 3 minutes left of extra time, he did it again. The player who had been with them for 9 years since the 2nd Division, and was starting captain, now converted them into Premiership champions.
